How can I participate in the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

 

You must complete in full the application forms which can be accessed by clicking on the APPLICATION heading on the home page of our website www.aquamasters.org. Your application will be complete when you have completed the forms, attached your proof of payment to your application form and submitted it. Once your application has been successfully completed, an email will be sent to your email address to inform you that your application has been received.

Do I need to be a licensed athlete to participate in the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

 

Competitors with a swimming licence valid for 2023-2024 or with a medical certificate received no later than 30 days before the date of the competition are eligible to participate in our championships. One of these documents must be presented to the Referee Committee before the competition. Foreign athletes will be accredited with a passport and a letter of undertaking.

Furthermore;

- Each athlete over the age of 18 who participates in the competitions must submit a signed consent form to the Referee Committee on the day of the competition.

- Any athlete under the age of 18 who participates in an event must present to the referee table a consent form signed by his or her parents.

- Athletes who have not signed a consent form will not be allowed to compete.

How much is the participation fee for the 21st International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

 

Each entry option has a different entry fee. Entry fees are stated in the rules. This link will take you to the championships where you can read the rules.

To which bank account and with what description can I make the participation fee payments for the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

 

The participation fee for the competition will be paid to TİA TANITIM VE REKLAMCILIK LTD.ŞTİ.

It must be paid into account number TR 6800 0670 1000 0000 6263 8176 (Yapı Kredi Bankası).

Whichever of the AquaRelay, AquaKids, AquaYoungStars, AquaPower, AquaPro and AquaUltra registration options you will participate in, you must write the name of that option as a description on the bank transfer.

Entry fees for foreign athletes competing from abroad will be collected from the championship area before the championship, upon presentation of a receipt.

If I fill in the information in the International Arena AquaChallenge registration system and do not pay the participation fee, will I be registered?

 

You will need to have made your payment in order for your registration to be completed.

Is it possible to cancel registration, refund the fee, or transfer the registration to another championship or to another person in the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

 

No. Once the registration process has been completed and payment has been made, the registration cannot be cancelled. Unfortunately, it is not possible to refund race registration fees or transfer registration to another race or athlete.

 

Detailed information about refunds and transfers can be found in Article 11 of the Rules and Regulations page. The race registration form contains the athlete's declaration that he/she has read and accepted all the race rules and regulations.

Can I get a refund for the expenses related to participation if the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships cannot be held on the announced dates as a result of the decisions taken by the official authorities and the championship board of directors?

 

Our Board of Directors reserves the right to make new decisions regarding the Championships programme during the period leading up to the announced Championships, within the framework of national or regional decisions taken by the relevant official authorities or in relation to the Championships and new circulars to be published. New decisions will be announced to all participants on the website and social media accounts. Entrants' transport, accommodation, etc. in connection with their participation in the Championships. Expenses are the responsibility of the competitor and the Organising Committee cannot be held responsible.

When can I get my race kit for the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

​

Athletes will be able to collect their race kit from the locations, dates and times listed in the General Championships Programme table, which will be published on our website and social media prior to the Championships.

Athletes who do not collect their race kit by the specified times will not receive a race kit after the championship.

What are the conditions for accommodation in the facilities where the organization will be held?

How can I get my participation certificates after the International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championships?

​

Each athlete who completes the events can download their e-participation certificate at www.aquamasters.org. The access/download period is 90 days from the end of the championship. Access will be blocked after 90 days.

 

Are any additional documents required to apply for the 10K Course?

 

Athletes wishing to participate in the 10K, which is open to athletes over the age of 14, will be asked to document their race results and long-distance swimming experience over the past year. The application will be assessed on the basis of the documentation submitted and a confirmation of entry will be sent to those athletes who meet the eligibility criteria.

 

Can wetsuits (protective clothing) be used in the AquaChallenge Championships? In which races is it used? How are the classifications done?

 

Races where wetsuit use is permitted and those where it is not are listed below. Detailed information and explanations on how to start and how to classify the results with/without wetsuit can be found in the rules page 3, Table 3 and in the terms and conditions page 4, Article 4.

- Races/events where the use of a wetsuit is permitted; 3K, 5K, 10K, Night Swim

- Races/events where wetsuit use is not permitted; 1K, 2K, Relays, AquaKids
